Maverick Health & Wellness operates as a multidisciplinary facility that integrates chiropractic care, physical therapy, acupuncture, non-medical nutrition guidance, general wellness services, weight management coaching, and an on-site health retail store. The facility is structured to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, including but not limited to:

  • New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs

  • New Jersey State Board of Chiropractic Examiners

  • New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners

  • New Jersey Acupuncture Examining Board

  • FDA Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA)

  • HIPAA Privacy & Security Rules

  • FTC Advertising Guidelines

  • OSHA Workplace Safety Standards

​No service, statement, or provider within Maverick Health & Wellness shall be interpreted or construed as the practice of medicine unless explicitly performed by a licensed medical provider under the authority of a valid medical license issued in the State of New Jersey.

1. Chiropractic Services

All chiropractic services are rendered by state-licensed Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) in good standing with the New Jersey Board of Chiropractic Examiners. These services include spinal and extremity adjustments, postural correction, and musculoskeletal evaluations, which are strictly limited to the scope permitted under N.J.A.C. 13:44E.

Chiropractors at Maverick Health & Wellness do not:

  • Diagnose or treat medical conditions outside the chiropractic scope

  • Prescribe medications

  • Perform invasive procedures

  • Represent chiropractic care as a cure or substitute for medical treatment

Patients requiring medical diagnosis or treatment are referred to a licensed physician or appropriate healthcare provider.

2. Physical Therapy Services

Physical therapy services are delivered by state-licensed Physical Therapists (PTs) under the authority of the New Jersey State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Services may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, post-surgical rehabilitation, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility training.

  • All PT services adhere to:

  • Direct access provisions as permitted by New Jersey law

  • Referral protocols where required

  • Full compliance with physical therapy scope of practice standards

  • Maverick Health & Wellness PTs do not provide medical diagnosis outside of physical therapy practice and do not offer services that fall under the jurisdiction of licensed medical doctors.

3. Acupuncture Services

Acupuncture services are performed by licensed Acupuncturists (L.Ac.) operating under the New Jersey Acupuncture Examining Board. These services include traditional acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion, auricular therapy, and electroacupuncture. Acupuncture services are:

  • Non-medical in nature and do not replace or replicate medical treatment

  • Provided solely within the scope defined by N.J.A.C. 13:35-9A

  • Offered as part of a holistic, integrative care plan when appropriate

We make no claim to cure disease, replace medical care, or treat conditions outside the bounds of traditional Chinese medicine or New Jersey’s defined acupuncture scope.

4. Nutrition Services (Non-Medical)

Nutrition services offered by Maverick Health & Wellness are non-medical and non-diagnostic in nature. Services may include:

  • Dietary and lifestyle assessments

  • Supplement education

  • Non-clinical metabolic wellness coaching

  • Food and habit-based behavioral guidance

We do not offer Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) unless explicitly provided by a Registered Dietitian operating within a licensed scope. We do not:

  • Treat or diagnose medical conditions

  • Provide care for eating disorders, diabetes, hypertension, or other diseases

  • Offer any service that requires a licensed healthcare provider under NJ state law

All nutrition services are educational and wellness-based only. Clients are encouraged to consult with their primary care provider or a licensed dietitian for clinical concerns.

5. Weight Management & General Wellness Programs

Weight management services and general wellness programs are non-medical, behaviorally-based support servicesdesigned to improve quality of life, energy, and health awareness. These programs are delivered by trained wellness professionals and include:

  • Lifestyle and habit coaching

  • Movement and sleep tracking

  • Nutritional awareness (non-diagnostic)

  • Behavior change strategies for energy, weight, and stress

  • Non-clinical health screenings

These services are not a substitute for medical advice, medical weight loss programs, prescription-based treatment, or psychiatric support. All outcomes are general and individual results are not guaranteed. No drug-based, surgical, or diagnostic weight loss is offered or implied.

We do not perform:

  • Prescriptions for weight loss medication

  • Hormone therapy (e.g., HCG, TRT, semaglutide, etc.)

  • Bariatric consultation

  • Medical diagnoses related to obesity or metabolic disease

6. Wellness Screenings & Health Coaching

Our internal evaluations such as “wellness screenings,” “mobility screenings,” or “nutritional lifestyle assessments” are non-diagnostic, educational evaluations designed to inform general wellness decisions. They are:

  • Not intended for diagnosis or treatment

  • Not replacements for blood work, imaging, or physician consultation

  • Used only as informational tools to support general well-being

All coaching and lifestyle services are conducted in full legal compliance with New Jersey laws and fall within unlicensed, non-clinical scopes, unless otherwise performed by a licensed provider.

7. Wellness Retail Store (In-House)

Our on-site store offers non-prescription, over-the-counter wellness products such as:

  • Braces, wraps, supports

  • Nutritional supplements (under FDA DSHEA guidelines)

  • Muscle recovery tools, TENS units

  • Non-clinical health accessories

All supplements are clearly labeled as dietary supplements and do not claim to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease. Maverick Health & Wellness does not manufacture supplements and is not liable for manufacturer claims.

We advise customers to consult their physician before beginning any supplement regimen. Products sold are for general wellness and recovery purposes only.

No Physician-Patient Relationship

Visiting Maverick Health & Wellness, utilizing our services, or purchasing any products from our facility does not create a physician-patient relationship unless such a relationship is explicitly established in writing with a licensed medical doctor acting within the legal scope of medical practice in the state of New Jersey.

Specifically, no physician-patient relationship is formed through any of the following:

  • Scheduling or attending appointments with any of our providers, including chiropractors, physical therapists, acupuncturists, nutrition consultants, wellness specialists, or health coaches

  • Participating in wellness screenings, posture assessments, body composition evaluations, or any non-diagnostic evaluation

  • Receiving wellness services, lifestyle coaching, soft-tissue techniques, recovery support, ergonomic consultation, stress regulation sessions, or weight management guidance

  • Purchasing products from our in-house store or receiving information through retail or educational interactions

  • Interacting with our website, reading informational material, or submitting inquiries through digital channels

  • Signing in, checking in, or submitting intake paperwork, unless said paperwork is issued directly by a licensed medical doctor affiliated with our practice and expressly indicates the formation of a physician-patient relationship

Maverick Health & Wellness is not a medical clinic or urgent care center and does not offer emergency or primary care services. While our team includes licensed providers within their respective scopes, our facility does not provide medical diagnosis, prescribe medication, or treat medical conditions unless directly and explicitly coordinated under a physician's care.

In the event of a medical emergency, life-threatening condition, or urgent health concern, you must call 911 or seek immediate care at a hospital or licensed medical facility.

Maverick Health & Wellness makes no guarantee of outcome, result, or medical improvement for any service provided. All services are dependent on individual variables, lifestyle, and outside medical care. We do not claim to “heal,” “cure,” or “reverse” any disease, and do not market or advertise based on such claims.
