Ergonomic Coaching

Postural and Workspace Optimization to Prevent Injury and Improve Comfort

How It Works

Ergonomic coaching focuses on identifying and correcting movement habits, workstation setups, and daily postures that may contribute to chronic discomfort or musculoskeletal strain. Through personalized assessments, our team evaluates how clients sit, stand, lift, and move throughout their work or home environments. We then offer tailored recommendations, such as adjusting screen height, desk angles, chair support, or lifting techniques, to reduce repetitive stress and support spinal alignment.

When It's Recommended

Ergonomic coaching may be recommended to support clients dealing with:

  • Neck, shoulder, or back pain aggravated by desk work

  • Frequent headaches or eve strain from poor workstation posture

  • Repetitive stress injuries (e.g., carpal tunnel, tendonitis)

  • Poor posture habits developed over time

  • Recovery from workplace or lifting injuries

  • Preventative care for individuals with sedentary jobs or physically demanding routines

This service is especially useful for individuals working long hours at a computer or engaging in repetitive motions that place strain on the spine and joints.

What to Expect

During your ergonomic session, a specialist will review your posture, movement mechanics, and environment, either in person or by reviewing photos of your workspace. You'll receive custom recommendations, which may include workstation adjustments, stretching routines, break reminders, or body mechanics training. For many clients, even small changes lead to significant improvements in comfort, energy, and long-term joint health.

Our Approach

At Maverick Health & Wellness, ergonomic coaching is more than just setting up a better desk, it's about addressing the root causes of postural strain and teaching sustainable movement strategies. We integrate ergonomic coaching into chiropractic or physical therapy care plans when relevant, helping clients create healthier work and lifestyle habits that reduce injury risk and support recovery.
